Edgar Bate

Edgar Bate, age 90, resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away, August 15, 2011 at Morningside Center in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was born the son of Grover Cleveland Bate and Leato Rone Bate on February 17, 1921 in Paola, Kansas. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II. On October 18, 1942, he married Eileen Brenneman in St. Louis, Missouri. She survives of the home. He was an avid fisherman of the Grand River. He was a Chillicothe Hornet Fan, especially of football. He also was a member of the Hy-Vee afternoon coffee group. He is survived by one son, Dennis Wayne Bate of Phoenix, Arizona. He is preceded in death by his parents, infant son Terry Lance Bate, one sister Eunice Armstrong, twin brother Edwin Odell Bate, and Brother Richard G. Bate.
