Eddie Alvin Templeton Eddie Alvin Templeton, age 86, a resident of Richmond, Missouri, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018, at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Missouri. Eddie was born the son of Pearl Edd "Tobe" and Nettie Ruth (Jinkins) Templeton on July 6, 1932, Warsaw, Missouri. He was a 1950 graduate of Warsaw High School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1950 until 1954, during the Korean War. Eddie was united in marriage to Althea Christensen on November 6, 1955, in Mendon, Nevada. She survives of the home. He worked for Armco Steel in Kansas City, Missouri, for 30 years. After 30 years as a millwright for Armco Steel, he came back to continue his first career as a farmer, which he immensely enjoyed for the next 40 years. The sun rose and set on his grandkids, and Papa Eddie was his favorite title. It will be hard to follow his footsteps, as he was a man who truly led by example. Eddie attended the New Hope United Methodist Church. He was a hard worker, and enjoyed working cattle on his farm. Eddie was an avid outdoorsman, and loved hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Althea, of the home; three sons, Kent Templeton and wife Kimberly of Polo, Missouri, Mark Templeton and wife Kimberly of Kingston, Missouri, and Chris Templeton and wife Diann of Polo, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Tyler, Jeni, Alex, Emily, Michelle, Dane, Chandler, Taylor, and Ashlen; four great grandchildren, Althea, Aiden, Reese, and Hadley; eight sisters, Ada, Shirley, Thelma, Patty, Peggy, Judy, Linda, and Pam; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jeff Templeton; one granddaughter, Abby Templeton; and two brothers, Tommie and Jessie Templeton. Funeral services will be held at the New Hope United Methodist Church, Stet, Missouri, on Thursday, November 15, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at New Hope Cemetery, Stet, Missouri.
