Ed Neptune

Ed Neptune Ed Neptune, age 67, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on February 6, 2014, at St. Luke's North, Kansas City, Missouri. Ed was born the son of Norman and Margaret Ann (Wallen) Neptune on October 25, 1946, in Chanute, Kansas. He was a 1965 graduate of Humboldt High School, Humboldt, Kansas. Ed served in the United States Army from 1966 until 1968 during the Vietnam War. He was united in marriage to Joann Shaw-Wehrle on October 25, 1986, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. Ed owned and operated Ed Neptune Realty and Investments working as a State Certified Real Estate Broker and Estate Appraiser for over 30 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe. He was also a member of the Friendship Lodge No. 87 AF and AM, Chillicothe Shrine Club, Grand River Ducks Unlimited, and Gideon International and a lifelong member of National Rifle Association. Survivors include wife Joann Neptune of the home; three sons, Mike Neptune and wife Michelle of Springfield, Missouri, Paul Neptune and Lisa Horton of Springfield, Missouri, and Brett Wehrle and wife Dawn of Mansura, Louisiana ; two daughters, Cindy Hofheins and husband Donnie of Rolla, Missouri, and Michelle Saale and husband Mark of Kansas City, Missouri; two brothers, Bud Neptune and wife Debbie of Dawn, Missouri, and Mike Neptune and wife Joan of Fort Fairfield, Maine; one sister, Patty Neptune-Oleson and husband Jr. of Chillicothe, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Pat Neptune. A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, February 10, 2014 from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Inurnment will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church and/or Gideon International and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
