Earl Lee (Bud) McCollum Earl Lee (Bud) McCollum, age 78, a resident of Wheeling, Missouri, formerly of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at his residence. Earl was born the son of Earl O. and Nellie (Spencer) McCollum on June 29, 1935, in Sumner, Missouri. He worked as a Motor Grader Operator for the Wheeling Township, Rich Hill Township, Carrollton, and Moss Creek Township for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and running the grader. Survivors include four children, Janet Caselman of Wheeling, Missouri, Brenda Moss and husband Darrell of Wheeling, Missouri, David Earl McCollum of Slater, Missouri, and Sue Ann McCollum of Decatur, Illinois; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Corky McCollum and wife Karen of Tina, Missouri, Ted McCollum and wife Betty of Brookfield, Missouri, and Melvin McCollum and wife Hazel of Chesterfield, Missouri; four sisters, Teddy Hopkins and husband Don of Houstonia, Missouri, Venita Jeffries and husband Gary of Wheeling, Missouri, Ruth Ann Fuller of Pittsburg, Missouri, and Sandy Hill and husband Jim of Salina, Kansas; one brother-in-law, Richard Robinson of Pittsburg, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Loren and Hazel Foltz, and Melville and Ola Griggs; stepmother, Maxine McCollum; stepfather, Dan Whitmer; one grandson, David Earl McCollum, Jr.; one brother, Gale Whitmer; one sister, Sharon Robinson; and two sons-in-law, Larry Caselman and Jim Mix. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri.
