Dwylah Jean McColm Dwylah Jean McColm, age 78, a resident of Ludlow, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2012, at Heartland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph, Missouri. Dwylah was born the daughter of Darrell R. and Atha (Cunning) Akers on January 7, 1934, in Gravity, Iowa. She attended Gravity High School, Gravity, Iowa. Dwylah was united in marriage to Lewis Sherman McColm on January 19, 1952, in Bedford, Iowa. He survives of the home. She worked as a clerk at the ASCS in Chillicothe for many years. She was baptized as a young mother. She attended the Community Church in Ludlow. Dwylah was a member of the Red Hats. Survivors include her husband Lewis of the home; two sons, C. Craig McColm of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Curtiss McColm of Chillicothe, Missouri; one daughter, Rita Fueston of Bates City, Missouri; five grandchildren, Aleah Brost, James McColm, Matthew Fueston, James Fueston, and David McColm; five great grandchildren, Alaina Fueston, Lucia Brost, Mia Fueston, Silas McColm, Paul Brost; two brothers, Corwan Akers, and Dennis Akers of Iowa; four sisters, Donna Burns of Missouri, Wylene Barker of Colorado, Loris Withington of Missouri, and Patricia Johnson of Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Roland Akers; and one sister, Phyllis Akers. Funeral services will be held at the Community Church, Ludlow, Missouri, on Monday, August 13, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, August 12, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Burial will be held in Monroe Cemetery, Ludlow, Missouri.
