Dwight L. Whited, age 71, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, April 14, 2011. He was born on August 4, 1939 the son of Luther Raymond and Hazel Mildred (Hudson) Whited. He was a 1957 graduate of Meadville High School. He was a member of the United States Army from 1962 until 1968; he was a sergeant in the Signal Corp, and a member of the National Rifle Association. He was a G.M. Automotive plant worker and a farmer for many years. He spent most of his early life in Meadville, Missouri and then moved and spent most of his recent years in Centerview, Missouri before moving back to Chillicothe, Missouri in 2004. Survivors include three nieces, Stacey Prinster and husband Jason of Overland Park, Kansas, Melissa Bartholomew and husband Chad of Des Moines, Iowa, and Elizabeth Grimes of Creston, Iowa; great nieces and nephews, Blane and Morgan Bartholomew of Des Moines, Iowa, Sean and Dominick Prinster of Overland Park, Kansas, and Aliyah Grimes of Creston Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ida Belle Grimes; and one brother, Hubert Whited.
