Dr. Cal W. Greenlaw, M.D., Pharm. D. Dr. Cal W. Greenlaw, M.D., Pharm. D., age 66, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017, at the University Of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas. Cal was born the son of Charles C. and Ione (Anderson) Greenlaw on December 1, 1950, in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. He was a 1968 graduate of Detroit Lakes High School, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. He then attended North Dakota State University, Fargo, North Dakota, where he earned his Bachelor of Science Pharmacy Degree in 1974. While at North Dakota State University, he played on the baseball team as a pitcher. In 1976, he earned his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of the Pacific, Stockton, California. From 1980 until 1982, he was a medical student at St. George's University School of Medicine, St. George's, Grenada, West Indies. He then was a medical student at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, Montserrat, West Indies, from 1982 until 1984, earning his Doctor of Medicine in 1984. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency from July 1984 until July 1987, serving his last year as Chief Resident, at Deaconess Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri; an affiliate of St. Louis University School of Medicine. Cal owned his own Medical Practice in Chillicothe, Missouri, from 1987 until 2010. In 2014, Cal moved to Kansas City, Missouri, to be closer to his children and grandchildren. Cal loved babysitting and playing with Jack and Kate, every chance he had. He loved goose, duck, pheasant, chuck, and deer hunting. He also loved baseball, and was an avid KU fan. Survivors include two sons, Cody Greenlaw of Dallas, Texas, and Charles Greenlaw of Louisville, Kentucky; one daughter, Heather Rowe and husband Jeff of Prairie Village, Kansas; two grandchildren, Jack and Kate Rowe; one brother, Bruce Greenlaw and wife Aurelia of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; and three sisters, Candis Hunt and husband Woody of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Dee Ann Royce of Duluth, Minnesota, and Sandra Shenas of Enfield, Connecticut. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, February 13, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, February 12, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, February 12, 2017, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
