Douglas Lee Russell Douglas Lee Russell, age 51, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Douglas was born the son of Dayle and Donna (Redding) Russell on September 19, 1963, in St. Joseph, Missouri. He was a 1982 graduate of Chillicothe High School. Douglas worked as a Newspaper Distributor for the St. Louis Post Dispatch and USA Today for many years. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. He was an avid bowler and Kansas City Chiefs Fan. He enjoyed watching Chillicothe High School athletics. Douglas also served as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. He participated in the Special Olympics, where he received 2nd place in state bowling. Survivors include one brother, Steve Russell and wife Nancy of Lebanon, Missouri; two nephews, Blake Russell of Lebanon, Missouri, and Keith Russell of Lebanon, Missouri; two nieces, Amy George and husband Chris of Sumter, South Carolina, and Ashley Parker and husband Mike of Jacksonville, Florida; four great nieces, Sarah Parker, Brooke Parker, Caroline George, and Caitlin George; girlfriend, Laura Buck of Chillicothe, Missouri; and friends of the family, David Lantz and Elizabeth Cunningham. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at the First Christian Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, May 11, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, May 11, 2015, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Amity Cemetery, Amity, Missouri, on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mobile Meals and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
