Dorothy May Stagner

Dorothy M. Stagner Dorothy M. Stagner, age 92, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe, Missouri on Wednesday, April 13, 2011. She was born on September 16, 1918 in Hamilton, Missouri, the daughter of Wilbur W. and Maudie K. (Parker) Cox. On December 10, 1940 she was married to Lytle Stagner in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 1, 1997. She spent her time working on the farm and keeping house. She enjoyed cooking, making her own clothes and quilting. Survivors include two sisters, Ella Fay Barnhart of Des Moines, Iowa, and Vina Lucille Ray of Indianapolis, Indiana; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lytle; and one brother, Vilas Cox. Graveside services will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. There is no scheduled family visitation.
