Dorothy Lee Phillips, age 90, a resident of Braymer, Missouri, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021, at Golden Age Nursing Home, Braymer, Missouri.
Dorothy was born the daughter of Wiley Webster "Buster" and Gertrude Lavon (Timbrook) Davis on October 15, 1931, in Caldwell County, Missouri. She was a 1949 graduate of Braymer High School. Dorothy was united in marriage to Bobbie Dean Phillips on June 10, 1951, in Braymer, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 21, 1994. She was a member of the Braymer Baptist Church, and also attended the Braymer Christian Church. She was a member of the Braymer Alumni Association having served as the association treasurer and was honored in 2014 as the Homecoming Parade Grand Marshall. Dorothy especially enjoyed bowling with the Dixie's Beauty Shop team and traveling to state bowling tournaments. She was an accomplished seamstress and cook.
Survivors include one daughter, Charlotte Stiens and husband Larry of Maryville, Missouri; one daughter-in-law, Chelee Phillips of Hamilton, Missouri; one son-in-law, Paul Dunwoodie of Braymer, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobbie Dean Phillips; two sons, infant, Stacey Phillips, and Marshall Phillips; one daughter, Gayle Dunwoodie; and one brother, Robert Dean Davis.
Funeral services will be held at the Braymer Christian Church, Braymer, Missouri, on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Friday, October 29, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Friday, October 29, 2021, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Braymer Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Braymer Alumni Association and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
