Dorothy McClure Dorothy McClure, age 101, a resident of Merriam, Kansas, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014, at Trinity Nursing and Rehab, Merriam, Kansas. Dorothy was born the daughter of Oscar and Mabel Evalena (O'Neal) Vanderpool on December 7, 1912, in Braymer, Missouri. She was a 1930 graduate of Braymer High School, Braymer, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Verlin Lee Davis. He preceded her in death in 1973. She was then united in marriage to M.M. McClure on May 25, 1980. He preceded her in death on September 10, 1991. Dorothy worked for Stamper Foods, Carrollton, Missouri, for many years. Survivors include one daughter, Delores Dean Leonard of Overland Park, Kansas; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and one sister, Margaret Stucker of Oceanside, California. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Verlin; second husband, M. M.; two daughters, Marlys Jean Davis and Jenny Lynn Leslie; one sister; and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Monday, March 24, 2014, from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri.
