Dorothy Long Dorothy Long, age 81, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Thrusday, August 28, 2014, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Dorothy was born the daughter of Albert and Maybell (Elliott) Wood on May 5, 1933, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a 1951 graduate of Chillicothe High School, Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Dorothy enjoyed playing cards, playing games, bowling, and golfing. Survivors include two daughters, Linda McBee and husband Buck of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Debbie Long and partner Patricia Allee of Lakeway, Texas; three grandchildren, Allisha Eckert and husband Dennis of Chillicothe, Missouri, Kyle McBee and wife Erica of Cowgill, Missouri, and Shian McBee of St. Joseph, Missouri; two great-grandchildren, Mason and Carter Eckert of Chillicothe, Missouri; one sister Maxine Christopher of Chillicothe, Missouri; and longtime friend Kay Garrison of Chillicothe, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. There will be a family visitation held on Monday September 1, 2014, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, September 2, 2014, from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Garden, Chillicothe, Missouri.
