Dorothy Louise (Hamblen) Clater Potter Dorothy Louise (Hamblen) Clater Potter, age 87, a resident of Hale, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018, at her residence. Dorothy was born the daughter of John and Olla Mae (Adkins) Hamblen on June 10, 1930, in Winthrop, Arkansas. She was united in marriage to William Clater on February 3, 1947, in Carrollton, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 23, 1973. She was then united in marriage to Robert Potter on November 16, 1977, in Waverly, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 3, 2007. Dorothy was a member of the Hale Baptist Church, Hale, Missouri. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include four sons, Kenneth Clater, of Higginsville, Missouri, Billy Jo Clater, and wife Cindy, of Carrollton, Missouri, Ronald Clater, of Des Moines, Iowa, and James Clater, of Cleveland, Georgia; two daughters, Peggy Huffmon, and husband Larry, of Hale, Missouri, and Nancy Wilson, of Odessa, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, William; second husband, Robert; three daughters-in-law, Donna, Kathy, and Gloria Clater; one son-in-law, James Wilson; three grandchildren, David Manning, Shawn Clater, and Sandra Clater; one great grandchild, Natasha Renee Huffmon; one sister, Margaret Hamblen; and five brothers, John, Clem, Dan, Robert (Perch), and George (Shorty) Hamblen. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri.
