Dorothy Barnert

Dorothy Barnert Dorothy Barnert, age 91, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.   Dorothy was born the daughter of Fred and Gladys (Olenhousen) Olebeare, on January 2, 1925, in New Hartford, Missouri. She was a 1943 graduate of Mexico High School, Mexico, Missouri. Dorothy was united in marriage to Brad Barnert on November 1, 1949, in Boonville, Missouri. He survives of the home. She was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, where she was a member of the Women's Group and the Altar Guild. She was also a member of Junior Sorosis, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Colonial Dames XVII Century.   Survivors include husband, Brad of the home; one daughter Cathy Payne (Larry) of Lathrop, Missouri; four grandchildren, Amy Justus (David) of Maysville, Missouri, Abby Payne of Raytown, Missouri, Libby Wetzler (Andrew) of New York, and Andrew Barnert of Breckenridge, Colorado; eight great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Darla Barnert of Breckenridge, Colorado; and two nephews, Gary Flick of Columbia, Missouri, and Roger Flick of Orange Park, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ben Barnert; one infant son, Lawrence Bradley Barnert; and one sister, Mae Marjorie Flick.   Funeral services will be held at the Grace Episcopal Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, January 28, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Boonville, Missouri, on Thursday, January 28, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Episcopal Church and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
