Doris Margaret Post, age 98, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Doris was born the daughter of Harry and Mary (Gates) Elliott on November 19, 1922, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a 1941 graduate of Chillicothe High School, Chillicothe, Missouri. Doris was united in marriage to Billie Post on March 9, 1946, in Kansas City, Kansas. He preceded her in death on March 28, 2004. She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Survivors include one daughter, Margaret McGrath and husband, Donald of Estero, Florida; and one niece, Marieta Lammers of Moberly, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billie; and one brother, Roger Elliott.
Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. There will be no scheduled visitation. Burial will be held at Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri.
