Doris "Dottie" Ellen Reeves

Doris "Dottie" Ellen Reeves, age 87, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, May 10, 2010. Doris was born on June 10, 1922, the daughter of Lester and Edna (Richeson) Johnson in Southern Livingston County, Missouri. On June 29, 1940, she married Raleigh Reeves. He preceded her in death on July 16, 2009. Doris lived her entire life in Livingston County, Missouri. She worked for Lambert Glove Factory in Chillicothe, Missouri, for forty-one years. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting and embroidery. She loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends. Doris is survived by two sisters, Helen Nibarger and Mildred Hilt both of Chillicothe, Missouri; one nephew, Terry Nibarger and wife Julee of Chillicothe, Missouri; two nieces, Delores Hall and husband Max and Rosalee Suchsland both of Chillicothe, Missouri; five great nieces and nephews and three great-great nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one infant son Raliegh Reeves, Jr. and a brother Allison Johnson. Services will be at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, May 13, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. There will be a scheduled family visitation on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Friends may call after 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Avalon Cemetery, Avalon, Missouri.
