Doris J. Campbell Doris J. Campbell, age 86, a resident of Buckner, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017, at John Knox Village Care Center, Lee's Summit, Missouri. Doris was born the daughter of Clifford and Esther (Doss) Huffmon on June 26, 1930, in Carroll County, Missouri. She attended Hale High School. She was united in marriage to Melvin Campbell on August 15, 1947, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 22, 1995. Doris was a former member of the Chillicothe PTA, was a former University of Missouri Extension Club Leader, and a former 4-H Leader. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and embroidering. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Linville and husband David of Buckner, Missouri, and Sheri Seevers and husband Paul of Independence, Missouri; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Melvin; and one sister, Dorothy Huffmon. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, one hour prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, February 20, 2017, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Avalon Cemetery, Avalon, Missouri.
