Dora E. Eaton Dora E. Eaton, age 88, a lifelong resident of Braymer, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2012, at Golden Age Nursing Home, Braymer, Missouri. Dora was born the daughter of John and Mary (Horn) Fitzwater on December 3, 1923, in Ray County, Missouri. On October 19, 1942, she was united in marriage to Arthur McBee in Cowgill, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 30, 1979. On December 4, 1982, she was united in marriage to Merton Eaton, in Braymer, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 2, 2006. She was a member of the Braymer Christian Church, the Golden Girls, Red Hatters, and the Sunshine Girls. She was the baby of thirteen children, and was the last surviving one. Dora was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by four sons, Kenneth McBee of Braymer, Missouri, Carl McBee and wife Marsha of Pleasant Hill, Iowa, Edward McBee and wife Pat of Braymer, Missouri, Dennis McBee and wife Sonya of Mooresville, Missouri; two daughters, Judy Shoop and husband Bill, and Janice Venneman, both of Chillicothe, Missouri; thirty-nine grandchildren, one hundred seven great grandchildren, and sixty-four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur McBee, and husband, Merton Eaton; six brothers; six sisters; one son, James McBee; one daughter, Elizabeth Leabo; one granddaughter, Debra Leabo; one great-great granddaughter, Gerica Sue Lynn; and one stepson, Larry McCintyre. Funeral services will be held at the Braymer Christian Church, Braymer, Missouri, on Thursday, October 11, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. There will be a scheduled family visitation at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Braymer Christian Church NYR and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
