Donnie Boyer, age 83, a resident of rural Norborne, Missouri , passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Golden Age Nursing Home, Braymer, Missouri.
Donnie was born the son of Loy Boyer and Pauline (Hawkins) Boyer on August 24, 1938 in Cowgill, Missouri. Don got his education in Praire One Room School, Stet School , and graduated from Braymer High School in 1957, Missouri. On August 24, 1988, he was united in marriage to Margaret Brumfield. She preceded him in death on November 13, 2020. Don served in the United States Air Force for 5 years. After the service Donnie worked as a retail meat cutter a various grocery stores for over 30 years. He was a 50 year member of the Golden Rule Masonic Lodge #90 A.F. & A.M. of Topeka, Kansas. Donnie enjoyed deer hunting, cattle farming, and his cat Puddin.
Survivors include: his twin sister Laundra Anderson of Braymer, Missouri; nephews Jeff Anderson and wife Carol of Braymer, Missouri, Scott Wallace and wife Ella of Waverly, Missouri; nieces Kim Moore and husband Dave of Braymer, Missouri, Rolanda Fansher and husband Randy of Braymer, Missouri and Lori Johnson and husband Mike of Lexington, Missouri. Donnie is also survived by step-children Roland Lambert Jr., Terry Leeper, Cindy Holt, and Lisa Guerrero, and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Pitt Funeral Home Braymer, Missouri on Friday, Jan 21, 2022at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan 20, 2022from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home Braymer, Missouri. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home Braymer, Missouri on thursday January 20, 2022 from Noon until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Evergreen Cemetery Braymer, Missouri and may be left at or mailed to the Lindley Funeral Home P.O. Box 47 Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
