Donna Lou Cooper (Innis) Slater Donna Lou Cooper (Innis) Slater, age 92, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away on Tuesday October 31, 2017 at Indian Hills - A Stonebridge Community Chillicothe, Missouri. Donna Lou was born the daughter of James Aaron and Maude Harriet (Bills) Cooper on September 29, 1925 in Livingston County, Missouri. She was a 1943 graduate of Chillicothe High School. On December 10, 1942 she was united in marriage to Raymond Innis in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 22, 1987. She was then united in marriage with Donald H. Slater on December 12, 1993 in Trenton Missouri. He preceded her in death on May 5, 2011. Donna and Raymond owned and operated Chillicothe Monument Company for nearly 50 years until Raymond's passing. Donna also assisted her second husband Donald with the operation of Slater Funeral Home in Trenton, Missouri. She enjoyed visiting with friends, quilting and watching and feeding birds. Donna Lou was a member of the Chillicothe United Methodist Church and a member of the United Commercial Travelers of America. Survivors include: two step sons DeWayne Slater and wife Janet of Trenton, Missouri and David Slater and wife Ilishia of Trenton, Missouri. She is also survived by five step-grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren. She was a favorite aunt to several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Donna never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond and husband Donald, four sisters Dorothy Hicks, Mildred Bolen, Kathryn Tolen, and Mary Gordon; and two brothers Wesley Cooper and Billy Ray "William" Cooper. Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home Chillicothe, Missouri on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a scheduled family visitation one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friends may call on Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home Chillicothe Missouri.
