Donald Hicks, age 69, a resident of Braymer, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at his residence.
Donald was born the son of Linus Hicks and Elizabeth Sue Banks on December 21, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Braymer High School. Donald worked as a roofer for many years. He also worked at the Indian Hills Nursing Home, the Braymer Nursing Home, and Susan's Nursing Home. Donald was a member of the First Baptist Church, Braymer, Missouri.
Survivors include his significant other, Martha Longs, of the home; three sons, Lucas Hicks and Celinda Hernandez of Savannah, Tennessee, Carter Hicks and wife Cindy of Savannah, Tennessee, Mathew Hicks and wife Jean of Savannah, Tennessee; one daughter, Melissa Lowery and husband Donald of Savannah, Tennessee; two brothers, Bobbie Hicks of Breckenridge, Missouri, Tommy Hicks of San Francisco, California; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Kenny Hicks; one grandson Jacob Ross; and his parents.
A scheduled visitation will be held at the Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Monday, April 22, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Rosehill Cemetery, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Monday, April 22, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Donald Hicks Memorial Fund and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
