Donald "Don" William Treon Donald "Don" William Treon, age 84, a resident of Mooresville, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Don was born the son of Charles and Vivian Beatrice (Allen) Treon on June 21, 1929, in Breckenridge, Missouri. When he was 18, he joined the United States Army, and served during the Korean War from 1947 until 1957. He then joined the United States Navy in 1957, where he served in the Korean War, until his retirement on April 22, 1973. Don was united in marriage to Wava Darlene Hornsby on July 10, 1951. She preceded him in death on September 25, 1977. To this union 2 children were born. He was then united in marriage to Wanda Charlotte (Mantzey) Hussey on June 13, 1981, in Mooresville, Missouri. She survives of the home. He was a member of the Chillicothe American Legion Vern R. Glick Post 25, Retired Enlisted Association, Fleet Reserve Association, and the Chillicothe VFW Roy L. Burkett Post 858. He attended the Highland Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Wanda of the home; one son, William "Bill" Joseph Treon of Niceville, Florida; one daughter, Teresa Ann Thomas and husband Bill of Springfield, Missouri; two stepsons, Wyman Hussey of Charleston, Missouri, and Jette Hussey and fiancé Karen Tuter of Lone Jack, Missouri; two stepdaughters, Jalene C. Riley and husband Dennis of Drumright, Oklahoma, and Wylene C. Albertson and husband Gary of Wheeling, Missouri; six grandchildren, Michael Treon and wife Stephanie, Michelle Treon, Braeden Treon, Tammie Cantu and husband Sebastian, Tracy Youngs and wife Susan, and Sarah Wilson and husband Charlie; seven step grandchildren, Brian Thomas, Jared Thomas and wife Sharon, Ashley Jeffers and husband William (Trey), Kyle Marshall and fiancé Ashley, Tyler Marshall and wife Stacia, Gary Albertson, and Brandi Rodenberg and husband Jessie; eight great grandchildren, Caitlyn Cantu, Bailey Cantu, William Cantu, Lane Youngs, Alexia Youngs, Lauryn Youngs, Vivian Grace Wilson, and Hattie Ann Wilson; twelve step great grandchildren, Tabitha (Thomas) Smith, Trevor Thomas, Jace Thomas, Lily Thomas, Cole Thomas, Brylie Jeffers, Jaxsen Jeffers, Logan Marshall, Presley Marshall, Landon Marshall, Jaiden Rodenberg, and Macie Rodenberg; one brother, Wesley Eugene Treon of Grand Bay, Alabama; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Wava Treon. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, February 3, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, February 3, 2014, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Donald Treon Medical Fund for family medical expenses and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
