Donald (Don) William Heussner Donald (Don) William Heussner, age 74, a resident of Hale, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri. Don was born the son of Ralph and Myrtle (Maas) Heussner on November 19, 1943, in Joliet, Illinois. He was a 1961 graduate of Kaneland High School, Elburn, Illinois. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1965 until 1967. Don was united in marriage to Elinor (Jean) Hatcher on May 29, 1976, in Plano, Illinois. She survives of the home. Don worked as an equipment operator for Commercial Turf and Tractor in Chillicothe, Missouri, for 11 years. He was a member of the Lutheran Church in Elburn, Illinois. Don was also a member of the VFW Post 468, Aurora, Illinois. Survivors include his wife, Jean of the home; one daughter, Debra (Debbie) Jean Heussner of Hale, Missouri; four grandchildren, Ashley Cree Heussner of Chillicothe, Missouri, Aleeya Colette Heussner of Hale, Missouri, Addison Claire Crockett of Hale, Missouri, and Abel Cobain Ivy of Hale, Missouri; three brothers, Harold Heussner and wife Sharon of Tina, Missouri, Ed Heussner and wife Betty of Brookfield, Missouri, and Raymond Heussner and wife Sandee of Okeechobee, Florida; and one sister-in-law, Dee Heussner of Hale, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Russell Heussner; one sister, Helen Jeffries; and one brother-in-law, Bud Jeffries. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, on Friday, April 13, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, on Friday, April 13, 2018, one hour prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, on Thursday, April 12, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Fairland Cemetery, Hale, Missouri.
