Donald Bart Clevenger Donald Bart Clevenger, age 88, a resident of Braymer, Missouri, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Donald was born the son of James Bart and Jessie (Yoakum) Clevenger on March 30, 1929, in Caldwell County, Missouri. He was a 1947 graduate of Braymer C-4 High School. While in high school, Donald loved playing basketball. He served in the United States Coast Guard. He was united in marriage to Mary Eads on November 2, 1952, in Jamesport, Missouri. She preceded him in death on October 17, 2015. Donald was a past commander of staff at Braymer Tweedie-Murry American Legion Post 117. He farmed, loved to fish, and quail and pheasant hunt. Donald loved his family and missed his wife Mary after her passing. Survivors include one son, Denny Clevenger of Braymer, Missouri; one daughter, Dana Gardner and husband Rick of Braymer, Missouri; four grandchildren, Hayley Clevenger-Pike, Kendra Barnard, Ashley Salinas, and Jesse Clevenger; and five great-grandchildren, Terryn Pike, Maggie Pike, Mallory Pike, Bailey Burns, and Kinzley Clevenger. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary; four sisters, Mildred, Maxine, Nadine, and Louise; and two brothers, Herd and Dobbin. Funeral services will be held at Braymer United Methodist Church, Braymer, Missouri, on Thursday April 27, 2017, at 1:30 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Braymer Methodist Church and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
