Don Emmet Ruddy

Don Emmet Ruddy, age 74, a resident of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024 at his son’s home. He was born the son of Norman and Bernice (Colliver) Ruddy on April 10, 1950 in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1968 graduate of Tina-Avalon High School. He worked at Banquet Foods, Carrollton, Missouri for several years.
Don was an avid history buff. He also loved reading western books, and was a Chiefs and Royals fan.
He is survived by his son, Bryan Ruddy and wife, Veronica of St. Joseph, Missouri; six grandchildren, Christina Adams, Brendon Ruddy, Dalaine Ruddy, Brianna Ruddy, Sky Ruddy and Logan Ruddy; two great grandchildren, Valkyrie and Blake; and three sisters, Kay Sprouse and husband, Gary of Chillicothe, Missouri, Betty Dorsey of Tina, Missouri, and Linda Haynes and husband, Butch of Dawn, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friends may call at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Bryan Ruddy and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
