Diane Wasinger, age 62, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Lee’s Summit, Missouri. She was born the daughter of Richard Joseph and Odilia Catherine Wasinger on February 18, 1962, in Garden City, Kansas. She was a 1980 graduate of Garden City High School, Garden City, Kansas. She graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1987 with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
Diane worked at several pharmacies throughout her career in the Kansas City area and then owned and operated The Medicine Shoppe in Chillicothe, Missouri. She attended the Turning Point Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. She enjoyed shopping, watching Jimmy Swaggart, having pets and walking Lucy, her basset hound, around the park. She also enjoyed yard work and gardening in her younger years.
She is survived by her companion, Dea Campbell of Chillicothe, Missouri; sister, Joanne Wasinger of Garden City, Kansas; niece, Jennifer Carr and Husband, Cade of Fritch, Texas; one great nephew, Brayden; two great nieces, Bryleigh and Jaylee, all of Fritch, Texas; uncle, Vern Wasinger of Deerfield, Kansas; and aunt, Marnieta Pile of Garden City, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Melvin Lloyd; eight uncles, Leo Wasinger (Louise), Cyril Wasinger, Larry Wasinger (Carol), Sylvenus Wasinger (Norma), Cletus Wasinger, Ronald Wasinger (Dolly), Edwin Knott (Eleanor), Albert Knoll (Dorothy), two aunts, Kathy Wasinger, Anna Mae Stoppel (Terry); and numerous cousins.
