Diana Kay Smith

Diana Kay Smith, age 86, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away Friday, January 3, 2025 at StoneBridge Care Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.

Diana “Kay” was born on October 1, 1938 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Vesta Mae (Mitchell) and James Michael Smith. She graduated from Chillicothe High School, Class of 1956. She had a varied professional career which included working for the Playboy Club in Kansas City, Missouri and Ocho Rios, Jamaica. She was an administrator for the March of Dimes in San Francisco, California, Kansas City, Missouri and Columbia, Missouri. After several years as an administrator and fundraiser for the Columbia Chamber of Commerce, Kay retired and relocated to Chillicothe. As a retiree, Kay was a volunteer at the Chillicothe Senior Center, a competitive bridge player and an avid reader.

Kay is survived by a sister, Melissa Smith Masles, a brother, Terry Smith, nephews Matthew Masles and Shane Smith as well as several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

A memorial service will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. A private family inurnment will be held at St. Columban Catholic Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
