Dennis Ray Lamp, age 65, a resident of Liberty, Missouri, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024 at his residence.
Dennis was born the son of Carl and Opal (Ewing) Lamp on February 21, 1959 in Clay County, Missouri. Dennis proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1976 until 1982. On July 28, 1990 he married LeAnne Simons. She survives of the home. Dennis was employed by Shulz Tool and Die as a creative mold designer. Dennis enjoyed fishing and playing pool in his spare time.
He is survived by his wife, LeAnne; his mother, Opal Lamp of Lawson, Missouri; a son, Samuel Lee Lamp of Liberty, Missouri; a daughter, Sarah Anne Lamp of Excelsior Springs, Missouri and a brother, David Lamp of Lubbock, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Private family burial will be held at Brassfield Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Association to combat homeless veterans and may be mailed to or left at Lindley Funeral Home, PO Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri, 64601.
