Delphia Lee Davenport, age 83, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away at Indian Hills Retirement Village, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, February 17, 2010. She was born on March 31, 1926, the daughter of Irvin and Etta May (Hanavan) White in Hale, Missouri. She was a 1945 graduate of Hale High School. On April 4, 1947, she married Larry Davenport in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 29, 1996. She is survived by two sons, Dwaine Davenport and wife Francine of Chillicothe, Missouri, Emory Davenport and wife Yvonne of Hale, Missouri; two daughters Annetta Ruth Dennis and husband Jim, of Chillicothe, Missouri, Margaret Lynn Railsback and husband Tom, of Chillicothe, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Edrie and Gene Condron and Mabel and Ralph Whitehead; grandson Dusty Dennis; great grandson Carson Davenport and one nephew Ralph Earl Whitehead. Services will be at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, February 19, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. There will be a family visitation on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Friends may call on Thursday from 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. and from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Avalon Cemetery, Avalon, Missouri.
