Delmore Eugene Anderson, age 89, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020, at St. Luke's East Hospital, Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Delmore was born the son of William E. and Cora Bell (Hall) Anderson on March 23, 1931, in Plymouth, Missouri. He worked as a mail handler for the United States Postal Service for many years. Delmore was a member of the Highview Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. He played the Steel Guitar and the Dobro Guitar. Delmore enjoyed playing music at the nursing homes.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph Eugene Anderson of Dawn, Missouri, and Timothy Lee Anderson of Missouri; two daughters, Tammy LeAnn Hickman of Missouri, and Theresa Anderson of Missouri; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Joyce Marie Anderson; and seven brothers, Johnny W., Dennis Delbert, Amos Aaron, Ellsworth Martin, Lawrence Mitchell, Lloyd Dale, and James Richard Anderson.
A graveside service will be held at Monroe Cemetery, Ludlow, Missouri, on Monday, September 21, 2020, at 12 noon. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, September 21, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, September 21, 2020, from 8:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Monroe Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
