Delbert Leland Kinnison, Jr. Delbert Leland Kinnison, 79, a long time Hale resident, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017, at his home. Delbert was born the son of Delbert and Orris "Maudelene" (Cornwell) Kinnison on May 1,1938, in Hale, Missouri. His family moved to Spokane, Washington, as he spent his childhood there. They moved back to Hale and he spent his teenage years there working until he went into the United States Army. In 1961, he married Lila Windsor. To this union was born one son, Delbert Kinnison III. In 1969, he was united in marriage to Norma Hansen. To this union , three children were born; David , Candy and Eunice "Pepper" Kinneson . He served two years active duty where he aided in the rebuilding of Germany after World War II. After returning home from the service, he served four more years in the Army Reserve. Delbert worked on many local farms and performed many maintenance jobs. He retired from Cox Manufacturing, Carrollton, Missouri, where he was an upstanding welder. His hobbies included fishing, wood working, tinkering around in the house and a passion for astrology. Survivors include his significant other, Norma Booker, of the home; two sons, Delbert Leland Kinnison, Jr., David Leon Kinnison,; two daughters, Candy Louise Parker (Jim) and Eunice "Pepper" (Eric) Caselman, all of Hale, Missouri; one stepson, Richard Ray Caselman, King George, Virginia; four grandchildren, Brook White ,Washington, Illinois, Anthony Rounkles, Gabrielle Parker, and Ava Caselman , all of Hale, Missouri; three step grandchildren; Hunter Caselman, Chillicothe, Missouri, Bailey Stanley, Clarksville, Kentucky, and Landon Caselman, Chillicothe, Missouri; and seven great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Thelma Louise Camlen, Brookfield, Missouri, three brothers-in-law, Maurin Windsor, Brookfied, Missouri, Norman Windsor, Brookfield, Missouri, and Donald Conger, Hallsville, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home , Hale , Missouri, on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at 1:30 PM. He will lie in state from 11:00 AM until 1:30 PM at Lindley Funeral Home, Hale , Missouri. Burial will follow at Cameron Cemetery, Hale, Missouri.
