David A. Anderson, age 68, a resident of Hale, Missouri, died on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at his home with his wife, Miss Vickie, by his side.
Davey was born the son of Amos and Mary (Timmerman) Anderson on January 15, 1953, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1971 graduate of Southwest High School. Davey was united in marriage to Vickie Collins on January 22, 1994, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. He worked as a self-employed farmer. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, farming, hunting, and fishing.
Davey was not a sports enthusiast, but that did not stop him from betting against the Kansas City Chiefs. On Sunday, September 19, 2021, the Chiefs were ahead 35-30, when he took his last breath. At games end, the Chiefs lost 35-36 against the Baltimore Ravens. The Chiefs lost, Davey got the last laugh.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie Anderson of the home; two sons, Joshua Anderson and wife Veronica of Liberty, Missouri, and Lucas Anderson of Hale, Missouri; one daughter, Sarah Porter and husband Matt of Parkville, Missouri; three grandchildren, Lyla Porter of Parkville, Missouri, and Zita and Atticus Anderson of Liberty, Missouri; mother, Mary Anderson of Dawn, Missouri; and three brothers, Dale Anderson of Branch, Michigan, Mike Anderson and wife Bonnie of Braymer, Missouri, and DeWayne Anderson and wife Susan of Braymer, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, on Friday, September 24, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, on Thursday, September 23, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, on Thursday, September 23, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Avalon Cemetery, Avalon, Missouri. Dinner will be served at the Avalon Community Center for family and friends following the services. Online condolences may be made at www.lindleyfuneralhomes.com .
