Darwin Kay Gilmore Darwin Kay Gilmore, age 83, a resident of Braymer, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at his residence. Darwin was born the son of Raymond and Nellie (Swearingen) Gilmore on January 8, 1933, in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. He served in the United States Army from 1953 until 1955. He was united in marriage to Patricia Adair on May 11, 1958, in Cowgill, Missouri. She survives of the home. Darwin worked for Lake City Ammunition Manufacturing, Independence, Missouri, for 30 years. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion Post #117 in Braymer, Missouri. He is survived by his wife Patricia Gilmore of the home; one son Michael Gilmore of Braymer, Missouri; one daughter Ramona Reed of Chillicothe, Missouri; one sister Judith Campbell of Council Creek, Texas; and two grandsons, Jason Scott Reed and Aaron Lance Reed. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one grandson Tommy D. Reed. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri. There will be a family visitation at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post #117 and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
