Danny Turner Danny Turner, age 69, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Livingston Manor Nursing Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Danny was born the son of Floyd and Eva (Deck) Turner on March 17, 1944 in Wichita, Kansas. Dan graduated from Shawnee Oklahoma High School in 1961. He then graduated from Nazarene Bible College in 1979 Colorado Springs, Colorado. He pastored churches in North Dakota, South Dakota, Oklahoma, and Texas. He later moved to Chillicothe, Missouri, from Texas in 1990. Danny was united in marriage to Leona Franklin on November 28, 1992. She survives of the home. Throughout his life Danny worked as a pastor and a carpenter. He was a former deacon and Sunday School Teacher at Highview Baptist Church, Chillicothe. Danny loved woodworking and making gifts for people. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Chillicothe. Survivors include his wife, Leona of the home; two sons, Terry Turner and wife Ann of Parkville, Missouri, and Brian Davenport of Chillicothe, Missouri; two daughters Deborah Shirk and husband David of Havelock, North Carolina, and Deeann Turner and fiancée Matt Le Maire of Spring Lake, Michigan; one sister Diana Wiens and husband Carl of Shawnee, Oklahoma; former daughter-in-law Kerry Turner of Springfield, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, nephew Danny Wiens, and step grandchild Drake Davenport. Services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, June 23, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, June 22, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, June 22, 2013 from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
