Danny Thate, age 88, a resident of Braymer, Missouri, passed away peacefully from this life to life everlasting on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at his home in Braymer, Missouri.
Danny was born the son of William and Louise (Schieffman) Thate on December 28, 1932, in Carrollton, Missouri. He was a 1950 graduate of Carrollton High School. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Fort Hood, Texas. Danny was happily married to Helen (Bradshaw) Thate for more than 65 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, and visiting with all his friends at McDonald's.
Survivors include his wife, Helen of the home; two daughters, Shyre LeClare and husband Jim of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Lisa Brooke and husband Mike of Braymer, Missouri; three grandchildren, Amanda Neill and husband James of Holden, Missouri,  Jessie Sanders and husband PJ of Parnell, Missouri, and Jacob Brooke and wife Chauncey of Braymer, Missouri; five great grandchildren, Joshua Neill, Taylor and Hayden Sanders, Maggie and Brody Brooke; and two step grandchildren, Dakota and Charlene Neill.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Norborne, Missouri. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church of Norborne and/or Samaritan's Purse and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
