Dale Brown Dale Brown, age 82, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Indian Hills - A Stonebridge Community, Chillicothe, Missouri. Dale was born the son of Delmar and Beulah (Hanavan) Brown on January 3, 1935, in Avalon, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Patricia E. Buckner on December 26, 1957, in Wheeling, Missouri. She preceded him in death on May 13, 2001. He was then united in marriage to Berneta Dewey on July 10, 2003 in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. Dale worked as a truck driver for Churchill Trucking Company for many years. After his retirement, he worked for Chillicothe Parks Department. He was a member of the Teamster Union and the Chillicothe Saddle Club. He loved animals, visiting with friends, spending time outdoors, gardening, woodworking, and collecting John Deere memorabilia. Survivors include his wife, Berneta of the home; two step-sons Dennis Adams (Margie) of Rogers Arkansas, Duane Adams (Lisa) of Rogers, Arkansas and one step-daughter Cindy Hicks (John), of Tontitown, Arkansas; nieces and nephews, Dorlene Meneely (David) of Chillicothe, Missouri, Glenda Blank (Richard) of Florence, South Carolina, Laurel Hickman (Daniel) of Florence, South Carolina, Jennifer Moeller (Dan) of Jefferson City, Missouri, Tammy Carter (Jon) of Allen, Texas, Georgia Way (Mitchell) of Cowgill, Missouri and Loren Buckner (Ellen) of Chillicothe, Missouri; several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Patricia E. Brown; two brothers, Maurice Brown and Raymond Brown; two sisters, Olive Atkins-Shipp, and Maxine Atkins; and one niece, Adeta Thoenen. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, March 6, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, March 5, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, March 5, 2017, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri.
