Dalace "Gene" Maberry Dalace "Gene" Maberry, age 89, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at St. Luke's Northland Hospital, in Kansas City, Missouri.   Gene was born on August 4, 1926, the son of Monte and Flora (Hansen) Maberry, in Hale, Missouri. He served in the United States Army during World War II from 1945 until 1946. On December 17, 1966, he married Mercedes Davis in Kansas City, Missouri. She preceded him in death on January 6, 2003. He worked for Kenworth Assembly Plant for many years.   Gene is survived by his sister-in-law Myrna Carlton of Chillicothe, Missouri, four nephews, Clark Carlton and wife Ryley of Chillicothe, Missouri, James Carlton and wife Melissa of Chillicothe, Missouri, Trenouth Maberry of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Richard Maberry of Chillicothe, Missouri; and one niece, Starla Maberry of Chillicothe, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Lucille Cunningham and his brother, Wayne Maberry.   Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, February 11, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Lakeside Cemetery, Sumner, Missouri.
