Clyde Albert Lamp, age 83, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 24, 2010. He was born on February 3, 1927 in Chillicothe, Missouri the son of Charles Henry and Arta Viola (Cantrell) Lamp. He served in the United States Navy from 1945 thru 1946 and the Navy Reserves until 1951. On June 15, 1947 in Trenton, Missouri he married Ruby Boude. She survives of the home. Clyde worked in the 1950's for Wabash Railroad, from 1952 until 1971 at the Lamp Grocery Store, State Training School for Girls from 1965 until 1989, and Molly Bee Flowers from 1976 until 1991. He was a member of St. Columban's Catholic Church in Chillicothe, Missouri. He enjoyed working on the farm and raising cattle. Time spent with his kids and grandkids was always very special to him. Survivors also include three daughters, Linda Souders and husband Jim of Chillicothe, Missouri, Lois Corbett and husband Dennis of Trenton, Missouri, Molly Yardley of Chillicothe, Missouri; one brother, Art Lamp of Chillicothe, Missouri; nine grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Charles, Floyd, Earl, Roy, Walter; and four sisters, Edna Burton, Ethel Kelley, Lena Ralls, Letha Schmidt. Services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe, Missouri on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. There will be a family visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2010 at the funeral home. Friends may call on Friday from 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
