Clifford Marvin Wrisinger Clifford Marvin Wrisinger, age 93, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at The Baptist Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Clifford was born the son of Floyd Elmer and Bertha Emily (Holloway) Wrisinger on December 29, 1919, in Richmond, Missouri. He was a 1936 graduate of Richmond High School. He served in the United States Army during World War II for the 32nd Calvary. Clifford was united in marriage to Martha Louise Borden on April 17, 1939, in Lexington, Missouri. She survives of the home. Clifford worked as a Minister for 55 years. He attended the Central Baptist Seminary in Kansas City, Kansas. He received his preaching license in June of 1954, from the Hickory Grove Baptist Church. He served many communities over his preaching career including, Woodville Baptist Church, where he was ordained, Friendship Baptist Church, Macon County, Nettleton and Kidder Baptist Churches, Caldwell County, First Linneus Baptist Church, Linn County, Calvary Baptist Church, and Livingston County. Clifford served for 7 years as the Director of Missions for Benton and Osage Pomme De Terre Baptist Associations. Over the later years of his career, Clifford spent his time supply and interim preaching, doing Revivals, and Mission work in Iowa, Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota, and Utah. Clifford in his retirement, created his own ministry association, where he visited local nursing homes and hospitals visiting patients who were sick and in need of counseling. Survivors include his wife Martha of the home; one son, Marvin Lynn Wrisinger and wife Pam of Meadville, Missouri; two daughters, Patty Sue Owens of Brookfield, Missouri, and Betty Louise Coen of Harrisonville, Missouri; five grandchildren, Robin A. McCann of Harrisonville, Missouri, Jeff Coen and wife Kylie of Harrisonville, Missouri, Dawn Rushton of Brookfield, Missouri, Christopher Wrisinger and wife Emma of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Tyler Wrisinger of Meadville, Missouri; and three great grandchildren, Marijah Coen of Harrisonville, Missouri, Jeremy McCann and Ashley McCann of Brookfield, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ralph Wrisinger; one sister, Lillian Craig; one son-in-law, Robert Coen; and two granddaughters, Roxanne L. Wrisinger, and Janita Buttricks. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. at Hickory Grove Cemetery, Richmond, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the North Missouri Baptist Home and/or the Hickory Grove Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
