Clifford Lee Griffith, age 81, a resident of Dawn, Missouri, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the Livingston Manor Care Center in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was born son of Howell W and Ivy (Bunch) Griffith on January 8, 1930 in Dawn, Missouri. He was a graduate of Braymer High School in 1948 and received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Agriculture from University of Missouri at Columbia in 1958. He served in the United States Army from 1952 through 1954 and was a veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a farmer after serving in the Army. He loved St. Louis Cardinal baseball, and the St. Louis Rams football, was a supporter of the Mizzou Athletics. He was the MYF director at the Federated Church in Dawn, and a manager for the Cardinalets Girls' Softball team. He is survived by his nephew Dan Griffith and wife Linda of Braymer, Missouri; nieces Dana Marshall and husband Doug of LaPlata, Missouri, Nancy Boeding and husband Ed of Moberly, Missouri, Maggie Lesnak and husband Tom of Independence, Missouri; sister-in-law Myra Griffith of Dawn, Missouri . He is also survived by twelve great-nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Norman Griffith. Funeral services will be held at Dawn Federated Church in Dawn, Missouri on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. A family visitation is scheduled for Saturday, January 15, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Pitts Funeral Home in Braymer, Missouri. Burial will be at Enon Cemetery, Dawn, Missouri. Memorial Contributions may be made at Southwest Athletic Department and may be left at the funeral home, or mailed to P.O.
