Claude Klein
Claude Klein, age 91, a resident of Hale, Missouri, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2019, at his residence.
Claude was born the son of Harry and Elva (Phillips) Klein on May 17, 1928, in Otterville, Missouri. He was a 1946 graduate of Otterville High School. He was united in marriage to Arlene Rose Clark on September 30, 1949, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. Claude worked all his life as a farmer and as a truck driver for Dye Phosphate and Grain, E & W Farm Service, Donald Dean Foster, and Bagby's Hatchery. He also hauled livestock until 1975. Claude and Arlene mowed and restored abandoned cemeteries for many years. He was very active in the Hale, Sumner, and Bosworth Communities. Claude was a member of the Hale United Methodist Church, Hale, Missouri. He and Arlene enjoyed dancing in Braymer, Chillicothe, Lexington, and Excelsior Springs.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene Klein of the home; three sons, John Klein of Hale, Missouri, Steve Klein of Goodson, Missouri, and Jim Klein of Laclede, Missouri; one daughter, Linda Jo Martin of Hale, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren, Rodney Elliott, Brendan Dillon, Anthony Dillon, Martina Worman, Wendy Treece, Randy Martin, Cody Klein, Chris Reece, Kelsie Plumb, Kristy Hughes, Roseanne Klein, TJ Lane, Christine Chapman, and Lesie Lane; thirty-eight great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Nell Monsees of Lee's Summit, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Connie (Klein) Dillon; daughter-in-law, Cindy Klein; twin brother, Clyde Klein; three brothers, Tommy, Arthur Lee, and Norman Klein; and one sister, Maggie Dehaven.
Funeral services will be held at the Hale United Methodist Church, Hale, Missouri, on Friday, July 12, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, on Thursday, July 11, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, on Thursday, July 11, 2019, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Hale Memorial Gardens, Hale, Missouri.
