Clarice L. Haley

Clarice L. Haley, age 89, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2011 at Heartland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph, Missouri. Clarice was born on October 3, 1921, the daughter of George C. and Vival Belle (Burton) Walker in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a 1939 graduate of Chula High School. On January 15, 1949, she was united in marriage to Roy R. Haley in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 16, 2009. She worked for Mid West Gloves for 15 years where she sorted leather. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. She enjoyed gardening and working with flowers, and also spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, Raymond Haley and wife Wanda of Chillicothe, Missouri, and David Haley and wife Karen of Olathe, Kansas; two sisters, Peggy Jewell of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Lois Vickers of Frederick, Maryland; six grandchildren, Clint Haley of Chillicothe, Missouri, Lisa Brown and husband William of Chillicothe, Missouri, Laura Naverrete and husband Ubaldo of Chillicothe, Missouri, Eric Haley of Lenexa, Kansas, Kristen McCullough and husband Michael of Ottawa, Kansas, and Andrea Haley of Olathe, Kansas; eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Lela L. Smith; and one brother Noel Walker. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, September 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a scheduled family visitation on Friday, September 23, 2011 one hour prior to the service beginning at 10: 00 a.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Friends may call the Lindley Funeral Home on Thursday, September 22, 2011 from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. Interment will be held in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
