Clarence Lewis Young Clarence Lewis Young, age 78, a resident of Braymer, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2012, at Golden Age Nursing Home, Braymer, Missouri. Lewis was born in Cowgill, Missouri, on July 14, 1934, to Clarence B. and Susie (Smith) Young. Lewis served in the Army from 1957 to 1959, and was in the Army Reserves until 1963. He worked at Haven's Steel and Kenworth, and as a road grader for Caldwell and Clinton counties. He was a long time farmer. He married Mary Dyas on December 21, 1963. They were married 48 years and from this union they had five children, Rick, Lisa (deceased), Jim, Tina and Tara. He has two grandsons, Robbie and Caleb. He is survived by his wife, Mary of the home; son, Rick of Independence, son, Jim of Hamilton, daughter Tina of Braymer, daughter, Tara of Braymer, grandsons, Robbie of St. Joseph, and grandson, Caleb of Braymer, and cousin, Wilma Jean of Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his parents, uncles, three brothers and two sisters, and daughter, Lisa. Funeral services will be held at Lindley/Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call the Lindley/Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Clarkdale, Missouri.
