Clarence Benton Edmundson

Clarence Benton Edmundson, age 74, a resident of Galt, Missouri passed away at his residence, Galt, Missouri, on Monday, May 17, 2010. He was born the son of Herbert C. and Mabel E. (Dennis) Edmundson on July 22, 1935 in Linn County, Missouri. He served in the United States Army from 1958 until 1960, serving in Germany from 1959 until 1960. He was a truck driver for fifty-two years. He was a member of the Chillicothe Elks #656, Masoni Lodge Services No. 89 AF and AM and the Hale Tractor Pullers. He was the past mayor of Galt, Missouri. He enjoyed tractor pulling, camping, fishing, riding four wheelers and spending time with his family. He is survived by his companion, Dee Anderson, of the home; one daughter Dana Crawford and son-in-law D.R. of Chillicothe, Missouri; a daughter-in-law Jane Edmundson of Chillicothe, Missouri; one brother George Edmundson and sister-in-law Beverly of Galt, Missouri; two granddaughters Amy Edmundson-Parker of Roland Park, Kansas, Tegan Edmundson of Chillicothe, Missouri; one great-grandson Miles Parker of Roland Park, Kansas; one niece Pam Edmundson of Kansas City, Missouri; one nephew Mike Edmundson of Humphreys, Missouri and two great nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son Dean Edmundson in 1998 and a grandson Tanner Edmundson in 2006. There will be a family visitation on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. There was cremation. There will be a private family inurnment at a later date.
