Clara Mae Grimm

Clara Mae Grimm Clara Mae Grimm, age 80, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016, at Livingston Manor, Chillicothe, Missouri. Clara was born the daughter of Harvey and Leota (Harsh) Hogue on June 21, 1936, in Ringgold County, Iowa. She was a graduate of Kellerton High School, Kellerton, Iowa. Clara was united in marriage to Lowell E. Grimm on May 22, 1955, in Murray, Iowa. He survives of the home. She worked as a tax preparer for H&R Block for many years. She also worked as a tester for the ASVAB. Clara was a member of the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, where she was active in the Circle Club. She enjoyed square dancing, and was a member of the Preppy Promenaders. She also enjoyed sewing, painting, and reading. Survivors include her husband, Lowell of the home; two sons, Ray Grimm of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Rodney Grimm and wife Linda of Chillicothe, Missouri; one daughter, Jenetta Cranmer and husband Troy of Chillicothe, Missouri; eight grandchildren; three step grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and five step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brother, Lyle and Short Hogue; one sister, Ava Grimm; and twin granddaughters, Tiffany Marie and Misty Leigh Grimm. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, January 2, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, January 2, 2017, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
