Charles Wilson Osenton
Charles Wilson Osenton, age 94, a resident of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2020, at John Knox Village Hospice, Kansas City.
Charles was born the son of Jennings B. and Lula E. (Cline) Osenton on June 17, 1925, in Davin, West Virginia. He graduated from Mann High School. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was united in marriage to Mary Louise Lindley on February 16, 1946, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She preceded him death on October 5, 2013. He worked for Metro Ford doing body and fender repair. Charles loved spending time outdoors, and started climbing mountains at 74 years old. He and Mary spent a great deal of time camping, fishing, traveling, and spending time with their grandchildren.
Survivors include Charles "Michael" Osenton and wife Bonnie of Kansas City, Missouri; one daughter, Gemma Holden of Arvada, Colorado; three grandchildren, Charles "Chad" Wilson Osenton and wife Melissa of Kansas City, Missouri, Jacob Osenton and wife Jessica of Highland Ranch, Colorado, and Cameron Ellis Dittman of Arvada, Colorado; and seven great grandchildren, Connor Osenton, Emersyn Osenton, Kenadee Osenton, Arlo Dittman, Miles Dittman, Oscar Osenton, and Oona Osenton. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Mary.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Lane Avenue Baptist Church, 9003 East 87th Street, Kansas City, Missouri.
