Charles W. Brown Charles W. Brown, age 89, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2011 at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Charles was born the son of Roy and Alma F. (Trumbo) Brown on January 4, 1922 in Chula, Missouri. He attended Chula High School until 1939. He was united in marriage to Juanita F. Williams on April 21, 1942 in McMinnville, Tennessee. She survives of the home. He served in the United States Army during World War II from 1942 until 1945. He worked for the United States Postal Service. He was a member of the Chillicothe VFW Roy L. Burkett #858, Vern R. Glick American Legion Post #25, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2428 of Chillicothe, the Moose Lodge, and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. He loved hunting, fishing, and most of all spending time with his family and grandchildren. Survivors include one son, Charles R. Brown and wife Marilyn of Ozark, Missouri; three daughters, Linda Harkins and husband Sherman of Hale, Missouri, Lana McNew and husband Roy of Marshfield, Missouri, Lorna Kester and husband Don of Richmond, Missouri. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren; and one sister Frances E. Geske of Hobart, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Maxine LeBeau, Daisy Wyman, and Edna Turner. Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Friday, November 4, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. A family visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Thursday, November 3, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call the funeral home on Thursday, November 3, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Parson Creek Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri, 64601.
