Charlene Gann, age 89, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away on Friday, September 16, 2011 at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe, Missouri. Charlene was born the daughter of Charles Robert and Virgie Haggard on October 21, 1921 in Browning, Missouri. She was a 1939 Browning High School graduate. She worked at the Citizens Bank and Johnson Chevrolet of Browning, and worked many years as a clerk at the Local A&P store in Chillicothe. On April 28, 1943 she married Coval Gann in Sampsel, Missouri and shared 59 years with him. He preceded her in death on March 30, 2002. She is survived by one son, David Gann and friend Jane Edmundson of Chillicothe, Missouri; one granddaughter, Katelin Gann of Chillicothe, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Coval; one brother, Ovid Atkins; two sisters, Oma Rudloff and Annabelle Holdiman; a son, Michael; and a daughter-in-law, Lisa. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe, Missouri. There will be a family visitation on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends may call or come by the funeral home on Tuesday from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. Burial will be held at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Olive Cemetery association and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
