Cecile Irene (Blakeley) Null, age 92, a resident of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Carroll House, Carrollton, Missouri.
Irene was born the daughter of Price Sterling and Cecile Agnes (Todd) Blakeley on April 22, 1927, in Carroll County, Missouri. She was a 1947 graduate of Norborne High School. Irene was united in marriage to Ralph Null in June of 1948, in Carroll County, Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 10, 1982. She worked as a clerk at the Fabric Store in Carrollton, Missouri, for many years. She also worked as a teacher at rural schools, and as a cook at a local restaurant in Carrollton, Missouri. She was a member of the Union Baptist Church, rural Stet, Missouri, where she was a Sunday School teacher. Irene served as a 4-H Leader for 23 years. She also served as treasurer and a board member for Singles in Agriculture. Irene was a band booster for the Carrollton High School Marching Band.
Survivors include one son, Randle Kirk Null of Tacoma, Washington; two daughters, Connie (Null) Decicco of Stet, Missouri, and Kathy Null of Columbia, Missouri; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph; one son, Ronald Null; five brothers, Ray Edward, Dale, Roy, Guy, and Joe Blakeley; and one sister, Loretta (Blakeley) Owens.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Friday, May 24, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Friday, May 24, 2019, one hour prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Thursday, May 23, 2019, from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
