Cecil R. Douglas, age 71, a resident of Wheeling, Missouri, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021, at St. Luke's Northland Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri.
Cecil was born the son of Leo and Doris (McNally) Douglas on December 26, 1949, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1967 graduate of Chillicothe High School. He was united in marriage to Carol Wayman on April 20, 1991, in Wheeling, Missouri. She survives of the home. Cecil worked for Bob Staton Service of Chillicothe, Missouri, for ten years. He then worked as a route driver for Wonder Bread, Dr. Pepper Bottling, Pepsi Cola Bottling, and Midwest Vending for the past twenty eight years. He was a member of the Chillicothe Elks Lodge #656. Cecil enjoyed golfing, bowling, and spending time with his friends and family.
Survivors include his wife, Carol of the home; one son, Zach Douglas and wife Taryn of Chillicothe, Missouri; two daughters, Lindsey Bowen and husband Bodey of St. Catherine, Missouri, and Lacey Douglas of Chillicothe, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; two brothers, Jay D. Douglas and wife Anna of Rimini, Italy, Scott Douglas of Dallas, Texas; and one sister, Judy Gash Ritter of Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Lance Douglas; two sisters, Linda Shae, and Darlene McReynolds; and one brother, Tommie Douglas.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. at Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri. Friends may call on Monday, February 1, 2021, from Noon until 8:00 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cecil Douglas Memorial Fund and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
